Yikes, haven't posted in weeks! I miss you, Blogger!
Anyway, what have I been up to lately?
Well, I'm already back to work. Went back last April 18. I didn't want to, to be honest! Haha It's just so hard to leave the house knowing I would not be with Miggy for 10-12 hours. Every single day, I would be late because I would delay going out. I would see Miggy and that's it, I'd stay a few more minutes to play with him. Hehe
I've also been busy planning Miggy's baptism. It will be on May 14, Saturday. So far, everything is set. Will just post a more detailed entry on this.
I actually took a leave today to attend to some family-related matters. So, I'm gonna log out now and start my to do's! Hehe
Before I head out, I'd like to share a photo. This is the design of Miggy's giveaway for the guests (ref magnets) on his baptism:
Thanks a bunch to Tekk, my bro Ronald's kumpare, for making this cute layout! I love it! I also love Miggy's picture used in the layout. He's so happy! And that's smile, so genuine. Even his eyes are smiling. :) My baby is so pogi! Hahaha
Ciao!

Quick Update :)
I miss blogging! I have so many post back logs. Been busy taking care of Miggy, that's why. And I'm loving it! True, it can get tiring and I almost lose my cool sometimes due to his tantrums -- yes, he already makes "marakulyo", as Nanay calls it, at his very young age. But despite the tiring days and sleepless nights, I just love being a mommy! I particularly like watching him sleep. He makes faces while he's sleeping, so cute! And I also love holding him in my arms, it feels so poignant, I'm like, I must have done something good to deserve this little angel.
He's growing so fast, too! At one month, he weighs 4 kilos. Here's a recent photo of him in his bouncer:
Will be posting more about Miggy soon...

Any Time Soon...
Yay! Miggy might be coming out in a few days, a week or two (at the latest)! Oh, how time flies! Last Saturday, my ob-gyne did an IE on me and found out that my cervix started dilating already. Whoa! That's why she advised me not to go to work anymore. So here I am, starting my maternity leave earlier. I'm due on the 18th, and I was planning to report for work until the 11th. But of course, I couldn't risk having an early labor while in the city, 1.5 hours away from my hometown, where my birthing hospital and ob-gyne are based.
I'm filled with excitement and anxiety at the same time. Thoughts keep running in my mind... Go for normal delivery! Epidural or saddle block anesthesia? Can I handle labor pain? How long will my labor period last? WIll I be able to push hard enough for Miggy to come out? Hay... I keep praying that we will both be safe during and after the delivery.
On a lighter note, I've been a busy mom-to-be during the past week. Running errands, attending to maternity-related requirements for HR, baby shower with friends, etc. Last Friday, I went to SSS East Avenue branch to apply for an updated SSS ID, which is one of the requirements for the maternity reimbursement. Thank God, I'm pregnant, because I got to be in the priority lane! I was done in less than an hour. :) Naynay was with me, and from SSS, we headed straight to SM Megamall to have lunch and visit the Grand Baby Company Fair, which was held at the Megatrade Halls. It was a shopping haven for mom-to-be's and mommies alike. So many discounts! And the freebies, I love them! You'll get a swag bag full of free baby items just by purchasing P1,000 worth of items (single receipt). I was so happy with the freebies I got. :) I'll post a separate entry on that trip. For now, here's a sneak peek at the freebies I got from the fair:
These are all yours, Miggy. :) See you in a week or two! Love you!

One Day to Go!
It's the last day of the year! Busy, busy day for everyone, I suppose, with all the preparation for the last festive dinner of the year - media noche!
Paul and I have a number of to do's for the day, as well. Earlier, we cleaned our room as we want to start the year clutter-free. :) It's our break time now, he's watching TV while I'm glued on the internet, blogging and surfing for more baby stuff. I just saw some cute nursery pictures at the Baby Company website and fell in love with the Cars-themed nursery! Will have a separate post on that later.
After lunch, we will start the media noche preparation. We are in charge of desserts. We will make two tiramisu flavors -- mango and oreo. Can't wait to eat those, it's my final cheat day! Haha Starting tomorrow, I'll be a good, good expectant mom. No more pigging out, no more chocolates and of course, cut down on carbs! Good luck to me!
After doing the tiramisu, we will arrange the stuff we bought for our baby. Yup, we did some baby stuff shopping yesterday, in preparation for my coming delivery. It could put a dent on your wallet, haha, but shopping for baby stuff is really fun! I had to stop Paul and Nanay from buying a lot of things. I reminded them that we should get the essentials first, the rest we can buy later. Plus, I might get gifts during the baby shower. *wink * wink*
Ooops, it's lunch time already. Bilis ng oras! Bye for now. :)
By the way, tomorrow's date will be 1-1-11. Cool, no?
Happy New Year! :)

Bittersweet Sunday
Ah, Sunday. There's always a bittersweet feeling I get whenever this day arrives. Love it because it's weekend, no work, I can just chill, lalala lalala. But a part of me kinda hates it at some point becuase when it's over, it's time to go to the jungle the next day. Haha Oh well, that's life.
Today, I'm more on the bitter side because it's the first morning since Paul left for Singapore. I woke up without his arms around me. :( But anyway, he'll be away for just a month. I just tell myself, it's over before I know it. Four weeks? Easy. Hehe
In other news -- I just entered my 7th week of pregnancy! How exciting! Note that this is the ovulatory count (which I think is the more appropriate count, because it starts with the conception date). If we are counting menstrual, it's the 9th week already, because this type of counting starts from the first day of the last period, meaning you are about 2 weeks preggy already at the time of the conception). Anyway, so far, so good. No morning sickness yet. Just occasional bouts of dizziness, especially in the mornings. And I always feel lazy and sleepy! I wish I could afford to be jobless so I could just stay home and chill while I'm pregnant. Hahaha

Take it from Mr. Tex
"There's a lot more to racing than just winning."
Mr. Tex, Dinoco's big boss, uttered these words to Lightning McQueen in the movie Cars. Lightning had just lost the Piston Cup (with good reason) and so when Mr. Tex asked him if he wanted to be the new face of Dinoco, he was surprised because that opportunity was customarily offered to the champion.
Lightning goes, "But... I didn't win..." And then Mr. Tex replied with those nine words that would become one of my most favorite quotes.
I think I could apply that quote in my current situation. Ok, I'm losing, I know. That's why I don't want to continue anymore. Staying will just make it worse. I don't want to win this battle. I want to wave the white flag and move away, probably start a new battle somewhere else.
I want out.

Snap, snap...
...back to reality! One day to go and the holiday is over. Yay!
Goodbye late morning gising. Goodbye petiks mode.
Hello reports. Hello deadlines. Hello traffic. Hello rush hour siksikan sa LRT. Hello dust. Hello Delgado rugby boys. Wahaha! Or should I say, Huhuhu? : (
Hay, sige na nga, bite the bullet na. Come on mamon, let's get it on!
It's been a looong while...
Geez, my last post here was like more than 3 years ago! That's almost my entire high school life! Haha Anyway, I've been updating my other blogs (multiply, lj), that's why. But now I've decided to revive my blogger account. I'll really try to update this as often as possible. I just wish there's a way to migrate posts from other blogs to here. Or maybe cross-posting between lj and blogger. Hehe
Anyway, it's Black Saturday. I'm supposed to be on duty today, but I'm having some nasty cramps so I told my boss I won't be able to go to the office. But I'll still be working here at home to meet my deliverables (and there's a lot!). Oh well, working on a holiday, what's new? :)
'Til then, ciao!

Bugnaw
Bugnaw kaayo... It's so frigging cold here in the office. Outside it's drizzling. Good thing I have my 'alpombra' sweater on. Wish I was just home, wrapped up in my soft blanket, with eli in my arms. I'll be reading a book until I fall asleep... hay. I'm listening to orange & lemons' hanggang kailan. Such a nice song. Maybe I'll be singing this if ever Paul gets to land that Japan post late this year. :(
I've been feeling depressed lately. But that's another story, won't even dare to go there. :)
